Thought provoking and timely question. Routes-mag seems to always challenge its readers to delve into their worlds of remembrances. This article by the routes-mag staff makes you wonder who’s really worthy of merit to Africans & Afro-Americans in their collective mind-sets. In my view, generally speaking, I believe that the role model(s) should be from the reader”s own positive family, community, national and international spheres of admirations and influences. Some may differ, and that’s cool, but many heroes and sheroes are everyday common folk, situated right in your midst and inner circles. There’s a pertinent need to closely look at what’s happening in our worlds first.
