Formerly incarcerated people gather with prison-writing mentors to speak about the profound effects of their relationships. In a place where all other freedoms are taken away, the imprisoned writer can be heard by the world outside prison with the benefit of a professional writer’s help. For mentors, this relationship can change their world view as they gain insight into confinement, loss, suffering, regret, and defiance.
