For the “90s Hip-Hop” edition of First Fridays, our popular monthly social gathering, we’re celebrating the golden age of hip-hop, the genre’s diverse formative years and the trailblazers who paved the way.

Guests are invited to mix and mingle in the Langston Hughes Lobby and enjoy our signature drinks while grooving to beats by DJ Sylk, with host Dhalimu from Dhali’s Closet. We also invite you to take a tour through our extended exhibition, The 75th Anniversary of the American Negro Theatre and view our pop-up exhibition, Digging Up the Past: A History of the Schomburg Center.

Suggested dress code is Harlem Chic!
