Tina Fabrique is an actress, vocalist, and songwriter who for several years performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, under the direction of Mercer Ellington. She has toured all over the world with the band, including the Hollywood Bowl, The North Sea Jazz Festival.
Tina has performed with vocalists Joe Williams, Abbey Lincoln, and Carmen McCrae, as well as, with musicians like Roland Hanna, George Coleman, Houston Person, Norman Simmons, George Caldwell, Onage Allan Gumbs, and Stanley Banks.
For the past seven years Tina has portrayed Ella Fitzgerald in the award winning show “Ella” in regional theaters all over the country—conceived by Rob Ruggiero, with arrangements by Danny Holgate, over 24 songs and a script by Jeffrey Hatcher the bio musical master.
Recently, Tina has performed with the Hartford Symphony, at the New Haven and Jacksonville Jazz Festivals. Welcome to this evening devoted to the first lady of song as Tina guides you along “Ella’s” musical ride!
