I particularly was struck by the colors!
Did i notice that most designers were originally women then mostly men
and now a mix of each. At one point it seemed all the pictures were of men
designers and women models.

Too bad there was no mention of the first African American Tajik organization for which Lois was a part[time] national president. The National Association of Fashion and Accessory Designers founded by Jeanette Welch Brown at the request of Mary McCloud Bethune. I am the last Eastern Region Vice President for the organization and I have droves of archival articles and other items including garments from National competitions. As a matter of fact one of my garments may be among the items donated to the Smithsonian. You are welcome to reach out to me.
