I CAN’T BREATHE AGAIN is the title of a poem written and performed by Nick Cannon. I was very surprised when my niece told me about the poem. I never connected Nick Cannon with any thing political. This poem is one of the most impacting poems I’ve heard. I am personally giving Nick Cannon the honorary Last Poets award.

Earlier today, I was on the phone discussing a future article with Abiodun, one of The Last Poets. I mentioned to him I had, earlier in the day, read on Facebook that Jericho Brown had won a Pulitzer Prize for poetry for his collection "The Tradition".
