Coming Out of the Dark of COVID19
New York’s Summer of 2021
After being cooped up for over a year due to the Covid Pandemic, the curtain has lifted a bit in New York — frustrated New Yorkers have taken to the streets, rooftops, and are fleeing to the beaches.
Friends missed over the confined months were embraced, — if vaccinated.
Flight cancellations and rising travel costs forced would be travelers to stay local only to discover fun in their own back yards.
Spontaneous gatherings in Harlem, Brooklyn and Long Beach, N.Y. were delightful.
JUNETEENTH & the 4TH OF JULY were vigorously celebrated.
Firework explosions and music rang out all night, even in quiet neighborhoods. Coming out of the Dark was welcomed. It was a bright light and respite in the long pandemic tunnel.
