Sandy & Bob Tate Diamond Anniversary Celebration

On Saturday, June 12, 2021, Dedra and Jeanine Tate, the beautiful daughters of Sandy and Robert “Bob” Tate, honored their parents 60th Wedding Anniversary by hosting a lavish Diamond Anniversary Surprise Celebration at the trendy MK Valencia Restaurant in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey from noon to 4pm. Upon arrival, the phenomenal pair was truly taken by surprise as they greeted their guests with love and gratitude. Sandy dazzled guests in a silk dress with matching accessories and Bob looked handsome in casual chic. Life has been good to this beloved couple who met and wed at Howard University. With all of their noble good looks, they could easily be mistaken for extras on the hit Bridgerton TV program.
The invitational only affair was exquisite from start to finish! The brunch began with a convivial cocktail reception in the garden replete with beautiful floral arrangement and bar which was the perfect place for guests to network and catch up on life. Then guests were escorted to their tables for a formal dining experience in which Mimosa’s flowed like the Red Sea.
After grace by Sandy’s stepmother Mary Simon guests dined on fine new American cuisine which was delicious to the very last bite — only matched by the flawless service. As guests savored their meal they witnessed the reenactment of Sandy & Bob’s wedding by Best man Dudley Williams, Maid of Honor Francis Battle, and Flower Girl Renee Outin who haven’t seen each other since that blessed marriage ceremony. Longtime family friend and one of Bob’s best buddies Paul “Ronnie” Bobb gave a touching toast before dessert noting that Sandy & Bob’s love is organic. “They don’t grow them like that anymore!”
This was a fabulous gathering and for many, because of the pandemic, it was the first in-person event they’ve been to in over a year . We were all thrilled that our first time out was for this esteemed couple who are revered by so many for always being their authentically fabulous selves!
Then it was party time as a full premium bar was open for guests to enjoy their favorite libation. DJ Kevin “Sugar Daddy” Woodley had folks dancing like it was 1999 and a grand old time was had by all! Guests left with a lovely swag bag and more memories that will last them for another lifetime! Kudos to my goddaughters Jeanine & Dedra Tate who produced this event to perfection and could rival any robust Broadway production!

This gathering was a true reflection of the constant love given by the marvelous Tate Family.
There was so much love, laughter and positive energy in the room, we all felt like one big happy family. Bob and Sandy’s legacy lives on through their compassionate & loving ❤ daughters and grandsons.
There was not a dry eye in the house when the grandson’s gave their anniversary toast. They both expressed the deepest love, admiration and appreciation for grandparents Bob and Sandy❤. Simply beautiful affair!

The dynamic persona of Bob is pure joy, full of charm and character. Sandy is ageless, bright and beautiful.
