Jack Leroy Wilson Jr. , aka Jackie Wilson, “King of R&B,” was a prominent American singer who rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s. He was known for his powerful voice and energetic performances. He was not only talented vocalist but also a sex symbol. His charismatic stage presence and good looks captivated audiences worldwide. Wilson’s hit songs such as “Lonely Teardrops” “Higher and Higher” and “Baby Workout” solidified his status as one of the most influential artists of his time.
Barry Gordy, founder of Motown Records, played a significant role in Jackie Wilson’s career. Gordy recognized Wilson’s immense talent. He remained comatose until his death in 1984 at age of 49
