In 1965, librarian Vivian Davidson Hewitt and scientist husband John Hewitt installed The Hewitt Collection of African American Art in their Charlotte, N.C. — Alvin C. Hollingsworth, James Denmark, Ernest Crichlow amongst other artists exhibited there.t. The collection was purchased by the Bank of America. Narrated by Corinne Jennings Kenkeleba Gallery, NYC.
