We mourn the passing of Willie Howard Mays Jr. on June 18, 2024

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Willie Howard Mays Jr. on June 18, 2024 at the age of 93. He will be remembered as one of the all-time greats in Major League Baseball history. His illustrious career was mostly spent playing with the San Francisco Giants.
May’s numerous accolades solidified his place as a baseball icon. From his 660 career home runs to his 12 Gold Glove Awards. Mays was a force to be reckoned with both at plate and in the field. His incredible athleticism set him apart from many of his peers. And his unparalleled skill made him a fan favorite wherever he played.
Off the field, Mays was also known for his sportsmanship and humility. Despite his many achievements, he remained humble and gracious. He continued to serve as mentor and role model for future generations of athletes. Always willing to give back to the community and to inspire others to pursue their dreams. His impact on the game extended far beyond his playing days.
Willie Howard Mays Jr.’s legacy will live on in the hearts of fans around the world. His contributions to the game will never be forgotten. He will always hold special place in our hearts as one of the greatest players to have ever graced the diamond.
