🎂Foreststorn “Chico” Hamilton, born September 20, 1921, was a Jazz drummer and bandleader who came to fame as a sideman for individuals like Lester Young, Count Basie, and Lena Horne. Before he had finished high school he was already part of a band, with Charles Mingus and Dexter Gordon, among others in the band.
