Yodeling, rhythmic clicks, and throat singing with complex harmonies are just some of the techniques that Roomful of Teeth pulls from its expansive vocal toolbox. Winners of the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music / Small Ensemble Performance, the eight-voice ensemble is committed to exploring the expressive potential of the human voice by using vocal techniques from around the world. Roomful of Teeth is also dedicated to commissioning and performing new music by daring composers, including that of ensemble member Caroline Shaw, who recently won the Pulitzer Prize.
