Schomburg Education is launching the Children’s Literature Salon Series this Spring to celebrate diverse books and showcase the current exhibition, Curators Choice: Black Life Matters. This first event, presented in partnership with Community Works, honors Walter Dean Myers and features a reading and workshop inspired by his last published work, Darius and Twig. This program is geared towards young adult readers and all lovers of childrens books. Participants are invited to check out the exhibition section curated by Maira Liriano titled, “Telling the Stories of the Black Experience to Children” as part of their visit.
