Mercedes Ellington celebrates The Maestro Duke Ellington‘s Birthday and the 100th birthdays of Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday and Billy Strayhorn. Included artists in the birthday celebrations are the legendary Ella Fitzgerald (98 years old) and latin conductor and songwriter Tito Puente (92 years old).
Performers: vocalists Antoinette Montague and Marion Cowings, tap dancer Tony waag and tap students from The American Tap Dance, Foundation/Tap City, dancer Alec Cowings, and the Grammy-nominated Manhattan School of Music Jazz Big Band under the direction of Bobby Sanabria.
