🍾Michael Eric Dyson, born October 23, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan, is an academic, author, minister, and radio host who was a professor of sociology at Georgetown University, Columbia, DePaul and most recently at Vanderbilt University. He has authored and edited more than 20 books dealing with a wide variety of subjects and topics relating to African American culture, such as “What Truth Sounds Like,” “Holler If You Hear Me: Searching For Tupac Shakur” and “Debating Race, New York.” .
