Protest
If You Were Born Black
In America
You Were Born Under Protest
If You Are Black And Proud
Your Very Presence Is A Protest
Against Every One And Anything
That Tried To Make You
Feel Bad About Yourself
When You Changed Your Diet
And Stopped Eating Fast Foods
This Was A Protest Against
Those Who Sell Unhealthy Food
When You Go Out Of Your Way
To Help Someone In Need
This Is A Protest Against
Those Who Show Indifference
When You Share
Your Knowledge
With Those Who Can Use It
This Is A Protest Against
Those Who Don’t
When You Plant A Seed
And Nurture Its Growth
This Is A Protest Against
Those Who Love To Kill
When You Say You Love
And Show It
This Is A Protest Against
Those Wreaking
With Hate
When You Motivate
And Encourage Someone
This Is A Protest Against
Jealousy
When Being Creative
Enhances Your Life
And Others
This Is A Protest
Against Watching TV
When You Smile
Most Of The Time
This Is A Protest
Against Those Who
Frown
When You Exchange
Goods
For Services
This Is A Protest Against
Those Who Worship Money
So We March And Chant
And Carry Big Signs
Protesting All
The Wounds
From This Racist Germ
Holding Back The Anger
Sometimes
We Need No Protest
If We Work Together
Treat Each other
With Respect
This Becomes The
Final Protest
Against Those
Who Don’t Believe
In Humanity
