🎂Jesse Louis Jackson, born October 8, 1941, is a civil rights activist, Baptist minister, and politician who was a candidate for the Democratic Presidential Nomination in 1984 & 1988. He also served as a shadow U.S. Senator for the District of Columbia from 1991 to 1997; he was a co-founder of Operation PUSH, the Rainbow Coalition, SCLC and Operation Breadbasket.
