Joan Penn lives in NYC and has a professional background in theater, photography, and
public relations. Her photographs have appeared in newspapers, newsletters and
magazines, and her poetry has been published in numerous literary journals. She considers
music to be an agent for healing and reconciliation, and appreciated the opportunity to
review the Marian Anderson String Quartet concert for “Routes.”
