🎂Tramaine Hawkins, (AKA Tramaine Aunzola Richardson) born October 11, 1951 in San Francisco, CA, is a celebrated a gospel singer with two Grammys Awards, two Doves, and 19 Stellar Awards. Tramain began singing in 1966 when she and three high school friends created a gospel group called the Heavenly Tones. The Heavenly Tones recorded an album that year called I Love the Lord for the gospel division of Savoy Records and they later recorded background vocals for Sly & the Family Stone. After that, Tramaine left her high school group to return to her gospel roots. She married the late Walter Hawkins and became a featured soloist with his Love Center Choir and the Hawkins Family. Her appeal to widely diversified audiences has afforded her the opportunity to record with the likes of Mary Mary, Andrae Crouch and The Disciples, Honey Cone, Santana, MC Hammer, and Donnie McClurkin. Tramaine Hawkins was one of Columbia Records first gospel artists. She is an inductee in the Gospel Hall of Fame.
