"ROUTES" will develop a nationwide Theatre Section devoted to "Theatres of Color". "ROUTES" welcomes your knowledge of existing theatres and productions. Please email ronn@ROUTES-mag.com. The Coalition of Theatres of Color (CTC) was first convened in 2004 by the late Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee to address the inequity of funding to chronically underfunded theaters of color. Today CTC exists as a historic assemblage of several of New York’s oldest, ethnically specific, multicultural theaters. CTC membership is comprised of institutions, each thirty years old or more. Together, CTC seeks to sustain the legacy of our institutions while producing, supporting, collaborating and presenting productions and events that tell our stories, our way, with pride and dignity.... Your work fascinates me, Laurence, because it is so strong in history. It brings what was into now, but that history is not always appreciated. “Your reading is dead on, Barbara.
