Ken Ferguson’s grandson was calling attention to the white part of his eyes that had become severely discolored. A visit to the hospital quickly signaled the beginning of the biggest fight this karate master had ever encountered…
Kenneth D. Ferguson, an eighth degree black belt in karate, from 1975 to 1992 fought all over the world. In 1978, Ken Ferguson became the very first U.S. National AAU Karate Champion and in 1993 was inducted into the USA Karate Hall Of Fame, is now fighting for his life.
His contender is not one that this champion can fight alone. Ken’s opponent is a very aggressive, Stage 4, Bile Duct Cancer (Cholangiocarcinoma) that has spread to his stomach lining. His Cleveland Clinic oncologist and his MD brother, Steven Ferguson, agree that the Matzinger Institute of Healing (MIH) in Henderson, NV is offering Ferguson his best defense in this struggle that one doctor called “the bottom of the ninth.”

MIH does not accept any type of insurance so this fight is going to be a costly venture, but is well worth any effort or expense.
Ken has unselfishly served as a role model, teacher, entrepreneur, and activist in his beloved Lee-Harvard Community in Cleveland, Ohio where he was raised and still resides.
He has nurtured and mentored literally thousands of multigenerational families, through his citywide karate studios and other businesses and special events including: The Annual Halloween Parade and Haunted Warehouse; Special Event Productions like Boxing and Music events, Fashion Shows, and Theatrical presentations; a master “sensei” (teacher) and mentor; this Olympic torchbearer is an ardent supporter of local and national efforts that benefit his community and beyond.
Ken has spent a lifetime serving others, but now this hero needs our help.
